Major League Baseball Stats v3.0

Runs on .Net Framework 2.0.

Now supports the Lahman54.mdb database.

This is a freeware program. It is free to use and you may distribute it as you please so long you do not alter any of the program contents.

Everything you wanted to know, and even information you didn't know you needed to know, about professional baseball in America. Major League Baseball Stats gives you access to a complete and very comprehensive database covering all the aspects of professional baseball.

Our Major League Baseball Stats program, updated for the 2007 season, allows you access to the most complete database we have seen about baseball statistics available on the internet. If you have downloaded the database from The Baseball Archive website you can use this free program to view the data in an easy and comprehensive manner.

If you have not downloaded the database you must do so for this program to function. To do so, go to http://www.baseball1.com/ and download the Lahman53.mdb or Lahman54.mdb file. Afterwards, you must copy it into the program directory. If you used the default settings shown in the setup program it should be: C:\ Program Files\PinderSoft\Baseball Stats PS. Of course, it could look different on your machine, depending on the configuration and the path you chose to install it into.

Without the Lahman database this program will not function.

In this version of Baseball Stats PS, you will be able to view all World Series winners, League Standings and some of the franchise data, to include the Player's data. Pitching data is not included and is planned for an update sometime in the future.

If you are looking for good, solid data that is hard to find, you will be rewarded to download this program and the database. You'll still have quite a bit of information available at the click of a mouse.

You will need Microsofts Dot .Net Framework 2.0 installed on this machine for the program to run. For more information on the Dot Net Framework take our DotNet Test. The DotNet Framework is a free download from Microsoft.

To download the Lahman database, click here and follow their links. We provided the front end, all you now have to do is download their database. Once you download the database, you MUST copy it into the program directory.

In the program directory you will find the BaseballStats.exe.config file. This is the pointer to the database. For future versions. if Mr. Lahman continues the naming convention he has followed, you can change the name of the database.

Example: In the text below representing the BaseballStats.exe.config, the database is named lahman54.mdb. Next year a new version comes out. The name is lahman55.mdb. To run this database, change the database name from lahman54.mdb to lahman55.mdb.
